i purchased 2 pairs of these off of a different site for a little cheaper, and installed them in my 2001 Ford Explorer Sport. I have yet to get a sub, but for now i dont need one. Even with the stock deck, these speaker sound AMAZING, and their bass is amazing for not even being considered real "subs." EASILY rattles everything in my Explorer. Volume and bass turned all the way up, NO distortion. The only problem is with my stock deck in my explorer, they are not super loud. Plenty loud, you can hear them down the road when the windows are open, but they are severly bottlenecked by my deck.
Also, the grills that they come with look AMAZING, but unfortunately i could not use them.
The color is a VERY vivid blue, they look amazing.
Also, remember that the tweeters are adjustable so you can point them in whatever direction you want.
